The City of Tomball, Harris County, Texas is accepting sealed bids to perform Asphalt and Concrete Street Improvements to S. Persimmon Street within the City of Tomball. Sealed bids shall be addressed to the Project Manager, City of Tomball, 501 James Street, Tomball, Texas 77375, and shall be labeled “Bid Number 2022-08 – S. Persimmon Street Asphalt Overlay Project”, “DO NOT OPEN”. Bids shall be submitted no later than 2:00 p.m., Local Time on Thursday, July 14, 2022, at which time all bids received will be opened and read aloud. A pre-bid conference will be hosted electronically on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at 2:00 PM CST, to familiarize bidders with the goals for this project. The information for the pre-bid will be included in the information and specifications, and will be sent to all contractors requesting the bid specifications. The pre-bid conference is not mandatory. [email protected]. Cashier’s Check, Certified Check, or Bid Bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount bid must accompany the BID. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to accept any bid deemed advantageous to it and waive informalities in bidding. All bids received after the closing time designated will be returned unopened. During the period between the Request for Proposals or the Bid Solicitation, submission date, and the contract award, respondents including their agents and/or representatives/owners, shall not directly or indirectly promote their proposal or bid to any member of the Tomball City Council or City staff except in the course of City-sponsored inquires, briefings, interviews, and/or presentations requests. Violation of this provision may result in the rejection of the respondent’s Proposal submittal. The City of Tomball reserves the right to accept or to reject any bids, to waive technicalities and to make any investigation deemed necessary concerning the bidder’s ability to provide the product(s) required, and to accept what in its judgment is the most advantageous bid.
