It is placed with a Contractor for the accomplishment of repair, alteration, modernization, maintenance, rehabilitation, construction, etc., of buildings, structures, or other real property. It includes a collection of detailed repair and construction tasks and specifications that have established Unit Prices. In order to be considered responsive, the bidder must submit Adjustment Factors to the published Unit Prices contained in the Unit Price Book at www.Buildingincloud.net. Individual projects are priced by selecting the proper construction tasks and multiplying them by the correct quantity and appropriate Adjustment Factor. Ordering is accomplished by means of issuance of a Work Order against the Contract. The Contractor, under the JOC contract, furnishes all management, labor, materials and equipment needed to perform the work. It is the intention to award one (1) JOC Contract under this solicitation for a one (1) year base term with two (2) one year options to extend, for a total contract duration of three (3) years maximum or the expenditure of the Maximum Contract Value, whichever occurs first.. The Maximum Contract Value will be as allowable by the Public Contract Code Section 20128.5, adjusted annually to reflect the percentage change in the California Consumer Price Index since January, 1998. There is no minimum value associated with individual Work Orders issued under this contract. The maximum value of individual Work Orders issued under this contract will be $200,000. The County reserves the right to make additional awards under this solicitation for a period of one year after the opening of bids. This JOC is authorized by Public Contract Code Section 20128.5 and may be awarded annually under the California Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Act (CUPCCAA) Sections 22030-22045. Public projects of $200,000 or less may be let to contract by the informal bid procedures set forth in California Public Contract Code Section 22032(b). Although CUPCCAA does not place a dollar cap on the aggregate value of projects undertaken, it does cap the value of each informally bid project at $200,000. Under Section 20128.5, each JOC is currently limited to $5,308,500, This contract requires a current and active A License. All paving work within the A license must be self-performed under this license classification which is inclusive of, but not limited to; A general engineering contractor is a contractor whose principal contracting business is in connection with fixed works requiring specialized engineering knowledge and skill, including the following divisions or subjects: irrigation, drainage, power distribution, water supply, streets and roads and other similar works, walks and flatwork, parks, playgrounds and other recreational works, landscape, land leveling and earthmoving projects, excavating, grading, trenching, paving and surfacing work, and cement and concrete works, and demolition of structures including surface and underground infrastructure. Other work related or incident to the primary project scope may be included for subcontract &/or performance by the Contractor on his other licenses if any.
