The project is located within unincorporated Chatham County at the existing L. Scott Stell Park off of Bush Road. Presently there are eight (8) existing tennis courts and four (4) existing basketball courts as well as associated parking lot. The project consists of removing the existing improvements and reconstructing four (4) new basketball courts, four (4) new tennis courts, ten (10) new pickleball courts, four (4) shelter areas and reconstructing the parking lot as well as associated site and drainage improvements. The project also has three (3) alternatives for pre-engineered metal ¿Airnasium¿ structures for each of the courts if the alternatives are accepted. This project is funded in whole or in part by the American Rescue Plan Act.
