ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID Sealed bids will be received online by the Borough of West Chester via PennBid until Friday July 30th, 2021 at 10:00 A.M., at which time they will be opened online and publicly posted via PennBid for: BOROUGH OF WEST CHESTER BICENTENNIAL PARKING GARAGE REPAIRS The Project consists of repairs to the Bicentennial Parking Garage, located at 20 South High Street, consisting of topside and underside partial depth concrete repairs, replacement of construction and control joint sealants on all levels and on the exterior facades, replacement of isolated deteriorated precast coping blocks, and other miscellaneous repairs throughout the garage. Alternate bid items include application of a traffic bearing waterproof membrane system to the top level and cleaning of the exterior facades to remove staining. Specifications and Bid Documents will be available on PennBid– www.PennBid.procureware.com. A Pre-Bid Meeting will be held onWednesday, July 21st, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at the Bicentennial Parking Garage located at 20 South High Street, West Chester, PA 19382. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check drawn to the order of the Borough of West Chester, or a Bid Bond in favor of the Borough of West Chester in the amount of 10% of the bid price. Said check or bond shall be subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price with a corporate surety approved by the Owner. The Bidder’s attention is called to the fact that the State Prevailing Wage applies to this Contract and that the successful Bidder shall pay no less than the Prevailing Wage Rates determined for the project area as set forth in the Contract Documents. No bid may be withdrawn within twenty-four (24) hours prior to the time of the bid opening or within sixty (60) days after the date of the bid opening. Award of Contract, if a Contract is awarded, will be to the lowest responsible bidder. The Borough of West Chester reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any bidding informalities.
