West Norriton Township at their offices, at 1630 W. Marshall Street, Jeffersonville, PA 19403, will receive sealed bids online until 11:00 A.M., prevailing time on June 4, 2019 at which time and place the bids shall be publicly opened and read aloud for: BETZWOOD PARK TRAIL CONNECTION This project involves the construction of a ten (10) foot wide, switchback, asphalt trail to connect Betzwood Park to the Schuylkill River Trail. Additional improvements associated with the trail connection include two (2) retaining walls, approximately ten (10) feet high, the installation of stormwater inlets and manhole with associated piping, and various landscaping improvements. All material, labor, and equipment necessary shall be in accordance with Penn DOT Publication 408 and Township Standards. Each bid shall be submitted in accordance with Article 15 of the Instructions to Bidders and Document 00 21 13 Instructions – Submitting Electronic Bids For This Solicitation and must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or Certified Check for not less than ten percent (10%) of the Bid amount payable to West Norriton Township along with an Agreement of Surety certifying that the required Performance and Payment Bonds will be provided to the Bidder. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish proof of insurance and bonds for Performance, Payment, and Maintenance in such form as meets the approval of West Norriton Township and having as security thereon such Surety company or companies as are approved by West Norriton Township. The project is subject to applicable provisions of Act 422, PA Prevailing Wage Act as amended and the prevailing minimum wage rates issued by the PA Dept. of Labor and Industry. The requirements of the West Norriton Township Responsible Contractor Ordinance will also apply for this project. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening of the bids. West Norriton Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids for any cause whatsoever, to eliminate any item or items from the contract, and to waive any informality in the bids.
