Centers for Disease Control (CDC) intends on entering into a follow-on sole source contract with Beth Israel Hospital (BIH).  The nature of this acquisition is to collect clinical follow-up and additional data on CFS patients.  This requires that the contractor has the required espertise in diagnosis and management of CFS and the infrastructure for clinical research.  The contractor meets this requirement and successfully competed for the award for the first stage of this study and this is a contract for the next phase of the study and requires collection of data from the same patients.  Consequently, BMI is the only contractor who can meet the above requirements.
