The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), Research Triangle Park, NC intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Beckman Coulter, Inc., 92822, pursuant to 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1)-Only one responsible source and no other supplies or service will satisfy agency requirements. Award is subject to Justification for Other Than Full and Open Competition (JOFOC) approval.

This procurement is for a Beckman Coulter Avanti Centrifuge. The following is required for the procurement of this requirement: 1) B38619-Avanti Centrifuge JXN-26, 200-240V, 50/60 HZ, 24A-IVD. This equipment serves as a critical role to the NIEHS in performing experiments for high-speed centrifugation of samples including cell cultures, protein and nucleic acid purifications, as well as lower speed centrifugations for concentrating proteins. Beckman Coulter is the sole manufacturer of the Avanti Centrifuge JXN-26, 200-240V, 50/60HZ, 24A-IVD.
