DLA Land at Aberdeen anticipates issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) on or about June 1^st, 2016, for a five (5) year, Firm Fixed Price (FFP), IDIQ (Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity, type of contract with an estimated maximum of $3,150,000, with a guaranteed minimum of $10,000, and a yearly estimated quantity of 3116 pieces.  The Boeing Company (Boeing)(CAGE 94756) is the source listed on the source control drawing and is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of AN/PRQ-7 CSEL Radio and is also the source qualifier for the non-rechargeable batteries. The RFP will be other than full and open competition using authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, and will only be open to manufacturers that have been qualified by Boeing.  The proposed acquisition is for the procurement of the following:

Battery, Non-Rechargeable - NSN: 6135-01-568-3234.  The BA-5301A/U non-rechargeable battery is a lithium manganese dioxide battery that provides power for the AN/PRQ-7 Combat Survivor Evader Locator System (CSEL) radio, which is a hand-held survival radio that is used by soldiers and airmen to communicate with search and rescue aircraft.  The batteries to be procured under the proposed contract will be used to meet replenishment requirements of the AN/PRQ-7 CSEL radio.
