The Bureau of Engraving & Printing ("BEP") intends to negotiate a Sole Source purchase order with Giesecke & Devrient America, Incorporated ("GDAI") for a one (1) year service agreement in support of the Banknote Processing System ("BPS") 3000. The BPS 3000 is a banknote processing system used by the Federal Reserve Bank to evaluate and provide final quality control testing for specific features of Federal Reserve banknotes. The equipment has previously been purchased from GDAI and is fully licensed and proprietary to GDAI. Award will be made on a sole source basis for the continuation of maintenance and repair services by GDAI under the authority of FAR 6.302 and 13.106-1. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency.
