In accordance with 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(2) as implemented in FAR 6.302-1, “Only One Responsible Source,” the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) anticipates awarding Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation (NGC) a Cost Plus Award Fee modification to the competitively awarded System Design and Development (SDD) contract N00019-08-C-0023 for the procurement of Broad Area Maritime Surveillance Unmanned Air System (BAMS UAS) Wing Ultimate Load Testing. NGC is the designer of the BAMS air vehicle and is the only contractor with the requisite design knowledge, special test equipment, tooling, and facilities to successfully complete the ultimate loads test within the approved program schedule and cost. A determination by the Government not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. This synopsis is published for information purposes only.
