U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command – Armaments Center (CCDC AC), Small Caliber Munitions Division FCDD-ACM-MI at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ, is conducting market research to determine the ability to manufacture and produce Ballistic Gelatin Powder.

REQUIREMENT:

1. 1. Purified, Type A, gelling protein obtained from collagen extracted from pork-skin (porcine)

1. 1. VYSE® Professional Grade Ballistic Gelatin or equal

1. 1. Physical Properties:

1. 1. 1. Bloom strength shall be 250 +/-5 g per USP/NF

1. 1. 1. Viscosity shall be 44 + 2.0 mps per GMIA

1. 1. 1. Clarity shall be < 25 NTU per CCL-010

1. 1. 1. Shelf Life When protected from water in a temperature and humidity conditioned environment, the gelatin shall have a shelf life greater than 3 years.

1. 1. 1. Each pallet shall be within 1200lbs or 100lbs and shall be from the same homogeneous gelatin lot

Each potential source is requested to provide the contract number(s), dollar value(s) and brief description of work previously or currently being performed, which specifically demonstrates the contractor's ability to successfully satisfy the requirement listed above. Firms shall also provide point of contact information, where available, for the efforts cited above.  In addition, please provide the firm’s name and address, point of contact with telephone number and email address, CAGE Code and DUNS number, size of business (i.e. large, small, disadvantaged, veteran owned, woman owned, etc.) and applicable NAICS and Product Service Code’s (PSC).
