This notice advises that the 647th Contracting Squadron, Hickam AFB, Oahu, Hawaii, intends to use Full and Open competition to award a firm fixed price contract to conduct the eradication of rats from Wake Atoll. Specifically, to conduct an aerial broadcast of rodenticide bait across the emergent land area, supplemented by use of bait stations and hand broadcast in and around the containment areas. This requirement is also to provide a helicopter, pilot, bait buckets, and associated equipment required for aerial rodenticide application; procure all supporting equipment and supplies required for the eradication; assemble/stage supplies/equipment in Honolulu; support shipping/airlift operations to Wake; conduct Commensal Management; and provide all personnel required for the operation. This synopsis serves to notify and inform all potential contractors of the forthcoming solicitation which will be posted on or about June 17, 2010. This notice does not serve as a solicitation nor are offers being accepted at this time. This notification serves only as a notice to all interested companies of the Government's intent to post a solicitation.
