The US Army Medical Command, Regional Contracting Office - Central, Ft. Carson Health Contracting Cell, is issuing this sources sought synopsis on behalf of William Beaumont Army Medical Center (WBAMC), El Paso, TX as a means of conducting market research to identify parties that have an interest in and the resources to support the below requirement;
1. Leasing a fully automated system that contains user-friendly software, a bi-directional
interface, and a comprehensive database of identification and antibiotic susceptibility test
(AST) cards.
2. Software must incorporated with the instrument includes the Advanced Expert System
(AES) which assists in analyzing Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) patterns.
3. The instrument must offer identification cards for the following groups;
a. Gram-Negative bacteria
b. Gram-Positive bacteria
c. Yeast
d. Neisseria, Haemophilus, and other fastidious Gram-Negative bacteria
4. Must provide variety of antibiotic susceptibility testing (AST) cards in the following
categories:
a. Gram-Positive AST
b. Gram-Negative AST
c. Yeast AST
The result of this this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement.
