Description: The New York State Department of Transportation is soliciting competitive bids for Airborne LiDAR to be used in digital (softcopy) photogrammetric workstations to produce large-scale engineering mapping, digital terrain models, and orthoimages. Airborne LiDAR data will be required at a minimum of 2 foot ground sampling distance. Subcontracting is NOT allowed. Airborne LiDAR data from UAVs is not allowed. As such, pre-qualification of bidders is required. Prospective bidders wishing to apply for prequalified status should contact the Photogrammetry Section via e-mail at [email protected]. Due to statutory restrictions on Procurement Lobbying, no DOT employee may disclose any “material information” related to this proposed procurement to any other person not employed by DOT prior to the public release of the actual Solicitation (IFB/RFP). The term “material information” does not apply to ministerial matters such as the time and place and manner of submitting a bid proposal, or the anticipated release date of a Solicitation.
