The Department of Commerce/NOAA, Eastern Administrative Support Center intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada to provide satellite tagging of leatherback turtles. Services include but are not limited to deploying satelllite tagging technology on male or female, adult or sub-adult leatherbacks off mainland Nova Scotia and Cape Brenton Island; mapping and transfering environmental data for GIS analysis; and providing a final report on tracking results to the National Marine Fisheries Service, Northeast Fisheries Science Center. The statutory authority for this action is 41 USC 253(c)(1). This procurement is below the simplified acquisition threshold
