The USDA, ARS, LSO intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source Emory University, Microarray Core Facility, 954 Gatewood Rd., N.E., Suite 1011, Atlanta, GA 30329. The proposed award is to acquire the following services from Emory University. Label microarrays with government furnished pig RNA from experimental tissue and detect genes that are expressed by the tissues using established pig protocol. The laboratory must be within 1.5 hours driving distance due to RNA time sensitivity to temperatures and environmental conditions. Commercial shipping is not an option nor or other protocols. This procurement will be made pursuant to FAR 6.302-1(2)(C)(ii). No telephone inquiries will be accepted. If any interested party believes it can meet the above requirement, they must submit a proposal in writing that includes prices and technical data sufficient to determine capability to meet the entire requirement and must be received in this office within 7 calendar days after publication of this notice.
