NOAA, National Marine Fisheries Service in Seattle, Washington intends to award a purchase order to the University of California Davis for continued research on contaminant-induced genotoxicity in the urogenital tisues of California sea lions to assess ocean health. Because of the close proximity of the UC Davis Veterinary Medicine and Teaching Hospital (VMTH) to the Marine Mammal Center (co-partner) allows the rapid transportation of samples from stranded animals to research laboratories, resulting in successful development of marine mammal cell cultures and novel pathogen isolation. This is a simplified acquisition that is not expected to exceed the Simplified Acquisition Threshold. ****The Western Regional Acquisition Division, requires that all contractors doing business with this Acquisition Office be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) as of October 1, 2003.After this date, NO award can be made unless the vender is registered in CCR.
