This is a combined synopsis/solicitation issued pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulations Part 13 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. This solicitation and incorporated provisons and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-5. The NAICS code is 541380. The IRP, NIA, NIH, LCS intends to enter into a sole source procurement with the NHLBI Johns Hopkins Proteomics Center Bayview for specialized proteomics analysis of cardiac tissues using assays specifically developed by Bayview Proteomics Group for the specific conditions of LCS. Specific tasks to be performed include (1) specialized proteomic assays consisting of specialized 2-D gel electrophoresis or liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry analysis optimized specifically for LCS's samples.
