The National Institute on Aging, IRP intends to negotiate on a sole source basis the the University of Delaware, Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, 226 Alison Hall, Newark, Delaware 19716. The purpose of this procurement is to provide the expertise necessary to implement a nutritional monitoring program as part of the HANDLS study, specifically when working with widely diverse populations including minorities and the aging. Nutritional monitoring is an essential tool to collect and analyze the individual's proprietary information on dietary intake, food and nutrient consumption and the individual's ability to recall their comsumption. Research methods to be provided through this project include the segregation and determination of sample design as based on nutritional factors associated with geographic regions, socioeconomic strata, race and ethnicity.
