The Maritime Administration intends to award a sole source purchase order to A. Strauss Wieder, Inc. for the purchase of methodology “metrics” that will enable MARAD to show changes in intermodal access impediments to U.S. Ports and Marine Terminals. This purchase order is follow on work to a previous purchase order. The contractor will continue supporting MARAD’s initiative to assess annually the intermodal access issues at U.S. deep-draft and shallow-draft marine ports and terminals, and set the foundation for trend analyses for assessing the intermodal access to marine transportation in the future. All firms who possess the knowledge and are capable of performing the described work are encouraged to submit capabilities statements and price quotations at the designated address by 2:00 p.m. eastern standard time on Wednesday, July 2, 2003. Award will be made to the company that offers the best value to the government.
