By way of this notice, and in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, the Chicago District – U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announces its intention to award a sole source contract to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign for fulfilling work requirem ents for analysis of data previously collected between 1997 and 2003 at the Lockport Prairie Nature Preserve in Will County, Illinois and in Door County, Wisconsin specific to the presence of larvae and the existing habitat conditions for the Hine's Emeral d Dragonfly (Somatochlora hineana) (HED) at these specified site locations. The University of Illinois has been the only source of several years of data collected specifically at the Lockport Prairie Site that specifically involves HED larvae and habitat p arameters and interactions specific to the larval phase of the life cycle of the HED. Given that the pertinent data required for analyses under this acquisition has already been collected and is currently being held by the University of Illinois, this a cquisition is considered to be available from one source (University of Illinois). The contract performance period is for approximately 6 months. It is anticipated that the resultant contract will be firm-fixed-price.
