JT3 LLC at Edwards Air Force Base (AFB), CA is seeking a vendor to perform a study to perform research and analysis to define the necessary hardware and software necessary to develop new and innovative approached for a high-accuracy High-Accuracy TSPI Sensor (HTS) system and corresponding software capable of providing a truth source for measuring the performance of future production systems. No suitable existing sensor suite has been found, so new and innovative approaches are required involving both the hardware and software. It is preferred that the HTS requirement be met by a system that does not rely on a ground infrastructure that is not easily and readily deployable to a new site. For example, this preference might be satisfied by an onboard suite of Global Positioning System (GPS), inertial, and possibly other sensors, with high measurement rates, highly accurate relative timing, and perhaps redundant measurements, with a supporting infrastructure consisting of a single GPS reference receiver; however, the prospective sensor system is not constrained to any particular sensor type or technology.
