This announcement is for a requirement that the Bureau of Land Management, CA has for Golden Eagle Habitat Use. The purpose of this acquisition is to collect and report field data on golden eagle in the Mojave and Sonoran (Colorado) Deserts. The goal of this project is to gain a better understanding of eagle biology such as home range, habitat use, and population dynamics. This project is designed to be part of a concerted western North America range-wide effort to understand golden eagle habitat use and home range size.
The contractor will perform all activities necessary for the completion of a golden eagle study. The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, supplies, services, permits, and licenses necessary to collect field data and report on habitat use and population demographics of golden eagles (Aquila chrystaetos), BLM anticipates the study could last between 1 and 3 years and could collect data on 10-50 individuals.
