Notice of Intent to negotiate a sole source contract with the University of Alaska, Fairbanks for NOAA National Marine Fisheries Service for culture and recovery of coho salmo to fulfill outbreeding depression study objectives. This contract will support an extension of an ongoing genetic study involving collaboration between the Northwest Fisheries Science Center and the University's School of Ocean and Fishery Sciences. This contract is to complete the recovery and analysis of the F3 crosses, which were established in 2003 from returning F2 adults. The period will be from date of award until September 2006. This is a simplified acquisition. This notice may represent the only official notice.
