The Metabolism Branch of the Center for Cancer Research of the National Cancer Institute (NCI) is recompeting a project in which the contractor shall perform repetitive assays in real time with results reported accurately and quickly to clinical doctors making medical decisions on patient treatment. The offeror shall perform enzyme-line immunoassays of soluble receptors, infused monoclonal antibodies and antibodies produced to the therapeutically infused monoclonals in human serum and/or tissue culture medial. Offers must 1) demonstrate how you will accomplish the task of frequent face-to-face discussions between the NCI Project Officer and the Project Director and other key personnel in Bethesda, Maryland in order to monitor and review program on project activities, 2) demonstrate how you will accomplish the task of picking up samples from Bethesda, perform the assays, and provide a written report of the results of the assays within a maximum of 72 hours from the time of pick up and 3) have biocontainment facilities (BSL-2) to conduct work in vivo with human and nonhuman primate viruses (HTLV-1 and SIV). This acquisition is a recompetition of contract N02-RC-27020, Covance Laboratories, Inc. It is anticipated that a single cost reimbursement, incrementally funded, completion type contract will be awarded for a period of five (5) YEARS. The NAICS CODE is 621511. The solicitation is scheduled for electronic release approximately February 4, 2008. The proposals will be due 30 days after the actual date of RFP issuance.
