The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is soliciting proposals in accordance with the Simplified Acquisition Procedures in Part 13 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR). The purpose of this procurement is to provide development support of the National Violent Death Reporting System (NVDRS) by providing expertise regarding networking with data providers and conducting of literature reviews for support of publications related to violent death reporting. Description of tasks: 1) Develop methods for gaining information from key constituents. 2) Gather and analyze data received from key constituents and provide a report of findings. 3) Review and suggest changes for the NVDRS software. 4) Provide interim training to new state project staff. 5) Help with literature reviews for publications related to the development of NVDRS. 6) Attend meetings of key constituents to increase awareness and support for the continued support of NVDRS. The anticipated period of performance is from award to April 30, 2004. Minimum vendor qualifications: 1) Knowledge and expertise developing a violent death reporting system. 2) Experiene providing updates to organizations regarding functionality and technical specifications needed for a violent death reporting system. 3) Experience researching, writing and editing documents for publication. 4) Expertise developing and maintaining a software package to capture surveillance information.
