This contract will focus on preparing a thorough statewide programmatic Biological Evaluation (BE) for the Federal Candidate Gunnison Sage Grouse (Centrocercus minimus) and Lesser Prairie-Chicken (Tympanuchus pallidicincus), and the BLM-listed Sensitive Greater Sage Grouse (Centrocercus urophasianus) and Columbian Sharp-tailed Grouse (Tympanuchus phasianellus) USDI. Bureau of Land Management (BLM) managed lands (both surface and subsurface, i.e. mineral estate) in Colorado. The BE for these species will be prepared for potential Section 7 Consultation and Conferencing (Sect. 7) under the Endangered Species Act (ESA) with the U.S.D.I. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) on up to eleven (11) BLM land use plans within Colorado. Land use plans for the BLM are called Resource Management Plans (RMPs). The majority of the work conducted on this BE will focus on prairie, sagebrush, and shrubland ecosystems throughout the State of Colorado.
