The Bureau of Reclamation intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Real Time Research (RTR) for the study of RTR collected shortnose sucker PIT tag data from 2009-2015 and  the impacts of certain piscivorous waterbirds on the shortnose sucker population for a service contract with a period of performance starting with the date of award through September 2016. The work consists of: (1) Evaluating impacts through analysis of PIT tags in comparison to birds nesting in the region 2009-2014; (2) Identification of water bird species in the area currently through examination of aerial photographs 2009-2014; (4) Evaluate predation impacts on suckers consumed by birds during 2015 nesting season. Firms believing they can provide similar services as stated above must provide written notification to the Contracting Officer with supporting evidence to that effect in sufficient detail to demonstrate the respondent's ability to meet the stated requirements. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. All responses received within 7 calendar days of the date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Inquiries will be accepted by email at [email protected].
