The proposed contract action is for commercial supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority for FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all responses received within five days after date of publication of this notice of intent. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Avid Technology Inc. is considered the only source that can provide maintenance service for Avid software and equipment for non-linear video editing. This is proprietary software and only Avid is authorized to maintain Avid software. Use of any other vendor to service, repair, maintain, troubleshoot, install, modify, or adapt Avid equipment will void all warranties and compromise the ability to carry out central command functions.
