DLA Troop Support seeks your expression of interest and any suggestion regarding DLA Troop Support's desire to establish supply support of the Aviation Aircrew Frame (AFF). The AFF series of frames are the only spectacles authorized for wear by USAF aircrew for flying duties.

The authorized AFF series includes three frame styles (AFF-OP, AFF-DR, AFF-JS), three sizes (small, medium, large), two finishes (antireflective matte black, bright gold), and three temple options (bayonet, skull, comfort cable) to optimize aircrew fitting and comfort. Aircrew spectacle frame policy is incorporated into AFI 48-123 (Medical Examination and Standards, 24 Sep 2009) and AFI 11-202 Vol3 (General Flight Rules, 5 Apr 2006), as well as field policy letters to all major commands. The AFF series frames provide a true eye safety frame, compliant with existing ANSI Z87.1 safety standards.
