The U. S. Department of Commerceintends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Donlen Government Services for purchase of a 2006 Cadillac DTS and a 2007 Chevrolet Suburban 2500. These cars have been on lease to Commerce, with the option to purchase. Commerce has chosen to exercise the option to purchase these cars. The initial lease procurement was procured competitively. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement on a full and open competitive basis upon receipt of responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. No formal solicitation package is available. Any inquiries must include a full capability statement, and must be received not later than three (3) work days after publication of this synopsis.
