NASA/MSFC has a requirement for the renewal of Automation Studio 6.1 Professional consisting of two (2) Network version Fluid Power Packages and one (1) year maintenance support to be used in the support of ER33 Lab.

 
NASA/MSFC intends to purchase the Automation Studio 6.1 Professional and the fluid Power Packs, plus maintenance and support to Famic Technologies on a sole source basis.

The MSFC ER33 Valves, Actuators and Ducts Design & Development Branch has previously purchased Automation Studio software to perform component design functions and component performance simulations.  Maintenance, enhancement and support for this software must be maintained.  Famic Technologies Inc. code is proprietary and a source of salient characteristics is not available to the Government.

The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. 

Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 3/31/2016 by 2:00 p.m. CST. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.

All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.
