The USDA-ARS, Daniel K. Inouye Pacific Basin Agricultural Research Center in Hilo, HI has a requirement to purchase an Automated Capillary Based Gel Electrophoresis System. All proposals must meet the following specifications to be considered:
-Ability to size and quantify of DNA and RNA
-Size PCR products, NGS Libraries, Genomic DNA, Fragment Analysis (SSR), Small RNA, and Total RNA
-By using available kits/reagents have ability to size and quantify in ranges from 25 bp to 40,000 bp for DNA across concentrations as low as 50 picograms/ul to 500 ng/ul concentrations
-For RNA, size from 15-1000's of nt from 50 pg/ul to 500 nt/ul concentrations
-Utilizes a 12 capillary system (or larger) for fast run times
-Minimum 12 samples per run, maximum 288 samples per run (with no user interaction needed)
-For sizing applications, per sample reagent cost less than $1/sample
