Military Sealift Command has a sole source requirement for Austal USA, LLC to provide management,supervision, personnel, labor, materials and equipment required to maintain and support the equipmentassociated with the stern tube maintenance, WÄRTSILÄ WLD 1400SR Water Jet Propulsion System, andVulkan composite shaft coupling to support the USNS CHOCTAW COUNTY (EPF-2). The ultimate result ofthis procurement is to ensure effective installment of the stern tubes in conjunction with thesupervision of maintenance of all 1400 SR Water Jet Propulsion Systems and composite shaft coupling onboard the USNS CHOCTAW COUNTY (EPF-2) with the intent towards effective and efficient completion ofthe vessel’s mission requirements.
