This procurement will be for the purchase of 1 Larson Davis SYS008 Audiometer Calibration System (includes 824 sound level meter, AEC100 1 in. microphone coupler, 1 in. pressure condenser microphone, and all related accessories, SWW-AUDIT software, 824-AUD firmware).

APPLICABILITY OF AUTHORITY:

This purchase will be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures as authorized by FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). Larson Davis is the sole manufacturer and distributor of the 824 audiometer calibration system. The Larson Davis 824 audiometric calibration system is currently the only system that can calibrate 4 MDG Diagnostic Audiometers due to internal calibration and coupling requirements.

Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract lies solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive requirement. The closing date for this synopsis is 24 Aug 2017 at 4:00 P.M EST.
