This is a Sole Source synopsis published for informational purposes only.  This proposed action is for the procurement of a secret level recording solution and HOTAS switch for the Audio MLS capability for the Remotely Piloted Aircraft Squadron Operation Centers at the following Air Force/Air Bases, Des Moines, Nashville, Whiteman, Davis Montham, Whiteman, Springfield, Fargo, Creech, Ellington, March, Syracuse, Ellsworth, Nashville, Horsham, Fort Smith, Battle Creek, Niagara, (locations are subject to change). The government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1.

 This proposed procurement will be Sole Source under North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) 541330. Size standard is $15MIL.

 The proposed source Leidos INC. 1140 Eglin Pkway N, Shalimar, FL, 32579. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is soley within the discretion of the Government.  This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations but responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. The Government shall not reimburse interested sources for any information provided.

 In order to comply with FAR 5.207(c)(15), the reason for lack of competition is as follows:  Leidos designed and installed the initial Audio-MLS system, and developed a modification to Audio-MLS correcting recording deficiencies. Leidos INC is the only known approved source with the capability to provide a secret level recording solution and HOTAS switch for the Audio MLS capability.
