The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is for market research purposes only. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. The USDA/Agricultural Research Serice (ARS) is conducting market research to support the USDA/ARS/SEA, Harry K. Dupree Stuttgart National Aquaculture Research Center (HKDSNARC), Stuttgart, AR location.
Seeking contractor to provide: Attending Veterinarian for the HKDSNARC, Stuttgart, AR location and local Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) in accordance with attached Statement of Work (SOW). All fish at HKDSNARC are under the care of the Principal Investigator, the Diagnostician, and the Attending Veterinarian (AV). The AV is responsible for validating a presumptive diagnosis of fish disease or mortality made by the Diagnostician and prescribing a treatment plan. The AV is also responsible for post-treatment follow up, if applicable. The AV would serve on the location IACUC. This would require preparation for each meeting, participation in the actual meeting and semi-annual program review and facilities inspection, and follow-up on any required action items from the meeting. In addition, the AV would be required to complete the same animal care and use training completed by all employees through the CITI program.
