SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory is seeking sources for an atomic force microscope meeting the following requirements.
An atomic force microscope with optically-excited cantilever drive, fast scanning, 10 kHz+ position acquisition rate, <20 pm height noise, IR bounce diode and ~10pN force resolution. Additionally, this AFM system needs to have both a stardard measurement scan head for rapid routine measurements, as well as an air-free environmental chamber and scan head for measuring air-sensitive samples. The system should have interchangable parts with an Asylum MFP-3D atomic force microscope. The software shall be compatible with custom scan control routines written in IGOR Pro, including force-measurement, sampling, move and hold, and force-feedback routines.
The AFM will be delivered to Stanford University, Stanford CA
