The United States Coast Guard Academy (USCGA) in New London, CT intents to award a sole source contract, under the authority of F.A.R. 6.302-1. The USCGA intends to award a contract under Simplified Acquisition Procedures to SciGlob Instruments and Services, LLC for an Atmosphere monitoring system for planet ozone and other pollutants for the Coast Guard Academy Academics in Science Department.
SciGlob worked closely with NASA to develop a ground-based sensor that can be used to validate satellite atmospheric data. Due to our ongoing collaboration with NASA, our atmospheric sensor must be compatible with the Pandonia Global Network; no other vendors currently make compatible systems. SciGlob builds to order; no one else builds to NASA’s specifications.
FAR 6.302-1 only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
