THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract under statutory authority 10 USC 2304(c) (1), "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements."

The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within five days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.

The 99th Medical Group, Nellis AFB Las Vegas, NV, 89191 requires the purchase of the Siemens Atellica IM 1300 Analyzer The 99th Contracting Squadron intends to make an award to Siemens Healthcare, Inc., located in 115 Norwood Park S, Norwood, MA 02062 Interested parties may e-mail [email protected] or [email protected] no later than Tuesday10 December 2019; 4:00 p.m. Pacific Time.

V. DEMONSTRATION THAT THE CONTRACTORS UNIQUE QUALIFICATIONS OR NATURE OF THE ACQUISITION REQUIRES THE USE OF THE AUTHORITY CITED ABOVE (APPLICABILITY OF AUTHORITY)

The Siemens Atellica IM 1300 Analyzer is the only analyzer that is compatible with the Siemens Aptio Automation line that is currently being installed in the laboratory at the Mike O’Callaghan Military Medical Center, Nellis AFB, NV 89191.
