The contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, tools, equipment, transportation and materials required to remove and install approximately 295 squares for 8 Housing Units as specified in the Statement of Work. Work includes, but is not limited to: Demolition: removal of existing roofing materials such as asphalt shingle roofing, felt underlayments, metal flashings, metal fasteners, old caulking, foam fillers, rubber boots, debris, etc. New Construction: Install new asphalt shingle roofing, 100% ice & water shield or underlayment, metal flashings, rubber boots, metal fasteners, caulking, single membrane patching etc. in accordance with plans, specifications, and manufacturers written instructions. Contractor will be selected based on the lowest price technically accepted as well as Past Performance. All responsible sources that submit a written quotation will be considered.
GOVERNMENT FURNISHED MATERIALS: Listed in Statement of Work with Solicitation Package.
Performance Period is 30 -45 days. Work to be performed Jul 01 - Sep 15, 2010.
SUBMITTALS DUE UPON AWARD may include but are not limited to: manufacturer catalogs, standard schedules, performance charts, instructions, brochures, diagrams, etc., in addition to references and qualifications. Lack of adequacy of references shall be at the sole discretion of the Government and may constitute grounds for disqualification.
CONTRACTOR SHALL COMPLY WITH requirements of: applicable Coast Guard Safety Regulations, federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to water, air, and noise pollution. ADDITIONAL SPECIFICATIONS OR REQUIREMENTS ARE CONTAINED IN STATEMENT OF WORK THAT WILL BE INCLUDED WITH REQUEST FOR QUOTE DOCUMENTS WHEN THEY ARE ISSUED ON APPROXIMATELY May 18, 2010.
A SITE VISIT WILL BE HELD June 1, 2010, APPROXIMATELY TWO WEEKS BEFORE QUOTE IS DUE. (Site visits are not mandatory, but are highly encouraged.)
