USDA/NRCS TX is soliciting proposals to remove Ashe Juniper from approximately 706 acres of designated areas in Land Groups 5 and 6 on Fort Hood, Texas.

These areas are within designated Black Capped Vireo (endangered species) habitat area.

All vegetation to be removed shall be cut and mulched. Ground disturdance shall be kept to a minimum, no grubbing or surface blading shall be allowed.

Projected periof of performance is 26 August 2013 through 22 November 2013.

Site visit shall be held 0900 through 1200, 16 July 2013, at 105 Memorial Drive, Gatesville, TX 76528. Attendance at this site visit is highly recommended, but is not required. No other site visit shall be conducted.

SITE VISIT HAS BEEN DELAYED BY WEATHER. Recent rain has made access to the work area impassable, forcing a change in the scheduled site visit!
