The National Science Foundation (NSF) intends to participate in the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) 120th Annual Conference from June 23-26, 2013. The meeting will be held in Atlanta, GA. Founded in 1893, the American Society for Engineering Education is a nonprofit organization of individuals and institutions committed to furthering education in engineering and engineering technology. It accomplishes this mission by promoting excellence in instruction, research, public service, and practice; exercising worldwide leadership; fostering the technological education of society; and providing quality products and services to members. NSF can reach out to a large number of participants at a fraction of the cost of holding its own event. At the event, NSF intends to procure two (2) days of filming services from WebsEdge on a sole source basis. This is the vendor that ASEE has selected to provide these services at the Conference and no other vendor can provide these services. Under the order, the funding will cover the costs of preproduction consultations, two days of filming, final approval of film before broadcast, B-Roll, and delivery of all assets including footage from the shoot, a high quality master digital file, plus a file in a format suitable for NSF's marketing needs. The proposed contract action is for services for which the government intends to sponsor with only one source under the authority of FAR 12.106.
