The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to negotiate a sole source award in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1). A sole-source, fixed-price procurement with Applied Bio Systems Inc 850 Lincoln Center Dr. Foster City, CA 94404 to procure (1) BSD 600 Duet Filter Paper Punch, (1) HID 7500 Real Time Tower and (1) Genemapper ID-X Client. The requested items are manufactured and owned exclusively by the Applied Bio Systems Inc therefore, they are the only vendor that can provide support services.
Failure to purchase the identified items would result in the following: 1) voiding the manufacturer's warranty of existing FBI systems. The requested items are compatible with FBI existing owned equipment. 2) Result in duplication of cost to the government.
This notice will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) Website (www.fedbizopps.gov). Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the FBO site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition.
