The Naval Air Systems Command intends to award a Firm-Fixed-Price modification to an existing contract, N00019-12-C0099, to MOOG Inc. This contract modification to FY13 Primary Option will increase the quantities of AN/URN-25 TACAN Transponder Group upgrade Beacon Kits and Remote Control status Unit (RSCU) upgrade kits from twenty (20) to thirty six (36) and twenty (20) to twenty one (21) respectively. This effort is being awarded on a sole source basis to pursuant to the provisions of FAR 6.302-1, "Only One Responsible Source". Moog, Inc. is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the AN/URN-25 Upgrade kits and therefore is the only contractor with the requisite knowledge, experience, and technical data that can meet the Government's requirements on a timely basis.
