The Naval Air Systems Command, St. Inigoes, MD intends to issue a Fixed Price (FP) IDIQ type contract for a duration of five years with BARCO, Inc, Duluth GA, 30097-4905 to procure a maximum of 410 Flat Panel Displays, 65 Processor Interface Boards (PIB) with Digital Video Interface (DVI), 15 Backlight Assemblies, and 25 MDPkit keypads. The components are being purchased to support the AN/TPX-42A(V)14 Shipboard Air Traffic Control (ATC) system and the AN/FSQ-204 Standard Terminal Automation Replacement System (STARS). This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1) implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. BARCO is the only known vendor who produces 20 inch square, 2K x 2K pixel flat panel monitors that are "ruggedized" (passed MILSPEC-electromagnetic capability, shock and vibration testing) and are approved by the FAA.
