Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This notice is for information only; a solicitation will not be issued. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATION. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. AFRL Requires a Computer Aided Design (CAD) software tool to design and test various antenna models both in isolation and as a part of a larger application (i.e. UAS). 

The government intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Ansys Inc., 275 Technology Drive, Canonsburg, PA 15317


The government has determined that no other source offers state of the art Radio Frequency (RF) modeling of an antenna structure with the capability to manipulate RF signals and their effects in near and far fields.

This is a notice of proposed contract action and not a request for competitive proposals; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement and/or market pricing, which shall be considered by the agency.

Responses received will be evaluated; however a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government anticipates an award date on or before 25 August 2014.


A Sole Source Justification will be attached to this notice after award in accordance with applicable regulations.
