This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities(FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the NSWC Division Crane. The Navy intends to issue a firm fixed price modification to Sparton Electronics Florida Inc. Contract N00164-05-C-6762 and/or UnderSea Sensor Systems Inc Contract N00164-05-C-6768 to purchase additional AN/SSQ-77C sonobuoys, whose primary purpose is to detect acoustic emissions or reflections from potentially hostile submarines and transmit these signals to U.S. Navy airborne antisubmarine warfare forces. Stepladder quantities of 3,000, 5,000, 10,000, and 20,000 will be solicited on other than full and open competition basis with Sparton Electronics Florida Inc and UnderSea Sensor Systems Inc. in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-3(a)(2)(i), â⦠to achieve industrial mobilization.â It is anticipated that option quantities not to exceed 50% of the basic award quantity will also be awarded. The sonobuoys shall be manufactured in accordance with a Production Sonobuoy Specification, and the offeror shall be considered a qualified manufacturer prior to! contract award. This announcement is being issued for possible subcontracting opportunities. Numbered Notes 13 and 26 apply. Delivery will be FOB origin with destinations determined at time of lot acceptance.
