309th SMXG/ 516SMXS/MXDEA/ PZIMC intends to issue a sole source contract to purchase all software, instructions, and licenses to the contractor (CAST) which will provide support for exsisting CAST EGI Testers software and licenses. The 516th Software Maintenance Squadron (SMXS) has been tasked with future maintenance of the EGI Testers required by the USAF to perform block updates for the F-16 Operation Flight Programs (OFP) in the Avionics Integration Support Facility (AISF).

Notice of Intent to award a Sole Source Procurement in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The Government intends to issue a sole source contract to the contractor (CAST) which will provide which will provide support for exsisting CAST EGI Testers software and licenses contracting by Negotiation. The solicitation will posted at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/ under solicitation number FA8224-13-R-0133. This requirement is considered sole source due to the EGI Testers maintenance needs to be captabile with the current functioning EGI Testers required by the USAF to perform block updates for the F-16 Operation Flight Programs (OFP) in the Avionics Integration Support Facility (AISF) to insure proper testing of the system software. The NAICS code for this requirement is 541511 (Custom Computer Programming Services) with a small business size standard of $25.5 million. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals and all other interested contractors shall submit a capabilities document which states their abilities on fulfilling this requirement.
