This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. The solicitation number for this acquisition is NIH-OLAO-OD3-RFQ4469843, and the solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). The solicitation document and its incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2005-92. This solicitation is not small business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 333314, and the small business size standard is 500. This is a fixed price requirement.
The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, based on Lowest Price Technically Acceptable.

National Institute of Health, Office of Logistics and Acquisitions Operations (OLAO), on the behalf of the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders intends to procure an Andor iXon Ultra 888 EMCCD Camera. The specifications and brand name justification can be found in the attached document titled "Specifications & Brand Name Justification".
